GREENWOOD, Ind. – Four members of the Saint Mary's women's track and field program were tabbed with College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors this postseason for their dedication during competition and in the classroom.
Nominees must be a sophomore or older with a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher and are eligible based on TFRRS regional performance rankings at the time of nomination, and only individual ranked performances are used for eligibility.
Samantha Munson, Mya Slavin and Ameryn Dostal each are receiving their first Academic All-District nod for track and field.

Munson had a standout senior season on the track. The Plain City, Utah, native recently set the school record in the 200-meter and was part of the record-breaking 4x100-meter relay as well. She excelled in both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
The biology and pre-PA major was ranked eighth regionally in the 60-meter sprint and 44th nationally with her 25.04 best time indoors. She notably was the 200-meter conference champion that season for her first individual title. During the outdoor season, Munson was an all-conference and All-Region IX honoree as she claimed back-to-back 200-meter titles, ranking 24th regionally in the 100-meter and 17th regionally in the 200-meter.
Recently, the St. Charles distance runner Slavin competed at outdoor nationals for the program's first time since the 2021 season, where she took home 12th for a second-team All-American honor. She broke a total of six school records throughout her sophomore year in cross country and track and field.
During the cross country season, Slavin shattered both personal and program records, clocking 21:51 to finish fourth overall out of 169 runners in the conference race, the highest individual finish in Saint Mary's women's cross country history in the 6K. She claimed her first individual title indoors as the mile champion. She was a standout during outdoors as an 800-meter champion, an All-Region IX honoree and a national qualifier.
Sophomore pole vaulter Gin from Naperville, Ill., is receiving her first CSC honor with a perfect 4.00 GPA this spring, majoring in biology and pre-PA. Gin was ranked 24th regionally with her 3.43-meter vault for all-conference honors and earned honorable mention during the outdoor season.
It was a season in which she was ranked 21st regionally with a 3.53-meter leap.
Rounding out the selections is sophomore jumper Dostal from Dodge Center, Minn. The marketing major had a standout season, ranked 32nd regionally in the triple jump with a 10.68-meter mark and 47th during the outdoor season with a 10.58-meter jump to lead the Cardinals jumps squad.
These Cardinals each had their best seasons yet and have more in store.
