WINONA, Minn. --- The Winona State cross country teams are set to compete this weekend at the Roy Griak Invitational, taking place on Friday, Sept. 18, at Fort Snelling in St. Paul, Minn.

The University of Minnesota will host the 40th Roy Griak Invitational, with live coverage by RunnerSpace at 10:30 a.m. The Women's Suzy Wilson College 6k starts at 10:30 a.m., followed by the Men's JO Rider College 8k at 11:15 a.m.
Outlook – Winona State men
Wyatt Harmoning led the Warriors last time out at the Augustana Twilight, running a personal best 16:10.60 in the 5k. Ryan Karls ran his first collegiate race, finishing behind Harmoning with a time of 16:26.00.
The WSU women are looking to repeat their 2025 first place finish at the Roy Griak Invitational, where three Warrior runners finished in the top three.
Stella Rusch led the team in the 5k with a time 17:10.10, which was the fastest time for NCAA Division II runners and second place overall at the Augustana Twilight. Rusch also received the NSIC Cross Country Athlete of the Week honors following her performance.
Sabrina Lechnir ran her first collegiate race for the Warriors, running the program's second-best time 18:10.50.
