AUSTIN, Texas – Winona State softball student-athletes Alyssa Woelfel and Jayda Berg were selected as 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-Americans.
Woelfel was named to the 2026 CSC Academic All-America First Team, while Berg earned Second Team Academic All-America honors.
Woelfel, a junior from New Holstein, Wis., has a 4.00 GPA in marketing. As the NSIC Player of the Year, Woelfel led Winona State and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in almost every offensive statistic. Woelfel finished the season with a batting average of .406 and 78 hits with a slugging percentage of .651. Woelfel started in all 59 games for the Warriors, which helped her earn First Team All-NSIC honors.
Berg, a junior from Coon Valley, Wis., holds a 4.00 GPA with an allied health major. During the 2026 season, Berg collected First Team All-NSIC and Second Team D2CCA All-Region accolades after holding a 20-4 record on the season. Berg tallied 168.2 innings of work in the circle across 33 appearances and 24 starts while striking out 126 batters and walking just 13.
Winona State ended the season with a 48-11 record, which included the program's 16th trip to the NCAA Tournament and its sixth NSIC regular-season championship.
