After years of planning, construction updates, hard hat tours, and watching progress rise floor by floor, the Clear Lake Chamber & Welcome Center is almost ready to open its doors.
On Friday, May 29, we’ll officially celebrate the grand opening of the new Chamber building and Welcome Center with a public ribbon cutting at noon followed by an open house from 1–5 p.m. Everyone is invited to stop in, explore the space, and see what’s been taking shape in downtown Clear Lake.
This project is more than a new building. It’s a new front door to the community. For decades, the Chamber operated out of a former gas station built in the 1960s. It served us well, but as Clear Lake continued to grow as a destination, event hub, and year-round community, we simply outgrew the space.
The new facility was designed to better welcome visitors, support local businesses, and create room for collaboration. Inside, you’ll find an expanded visitor center, modern meeting and gathering spaces, flexible work areas, updated technology, and a space that finally reflects the energy of Clear Lake today.
You’ll also notice intentional details throughout the building. Natural textures, lakeside-inspired design, rooftop views overlooking downtown and the lake, and spaces created for both visitors and locals to gather.
This summer alone, the Chamber will welcome hundreds of thousands of visitors looking for recommendations, events, dining, shopping, outdoor adventures, and ways to experience Clear Lake. Now, we finally have a space designed to match that experience from the moment people walk through the door.
We hope you’ll stop by on May 29, take a look around, and help us celebrate this exciting new chapter for Clear Lake.
Come see the new space, meet the team, and celebrate what’s next for Clear Lake!
