Temporary twin water towers were photographed side-by-side in Britt. The historic tower on the left will be memorialized in sculpture after the new water plant is built.
The Iowa Chapter of the American Public Works Association recently presented its project of the year award to the City of Britt for its 150,000-gallon elevated water storage tank project that included historic preservation of its prior 1937 “red capped” tower.
