BRITT — Hunter Marriott couldn't have asked for a much better weekend at the Hancock County Speedway.

The driver from Brookefield, Missouri, scored an $8,000 payday Friday night when he won the Night of 10,000 Stars feature to go along with a runner-up finish Thursday night in the Night of 1,000 Stars feature.

Tyler Droste beat Marriott to the checkers on Thursday to secure the victory, and Kyle Strickler closed out the big weekend in Britt by winning the Shryock Memorial All-Star feature.

In Marriott's win Friday night, he used a pass on the second lap after starting sixth to take a lead and he never let go on the way to a $7,000 check for the win, plus $1,000 for leading at the halfway mark. Richie Gustin was runner-up and Clear Lake's Ryan Ruter passed 21 cars on the way to third place.

Thursday night, Droste took an early lead, and after a caution with five laps to go, he drove into victory lane easily in front of Marriott. The win netted Droste $4,500, plus $1,000 for leading after 25 laps. Gustin ran to third.

Saturday night's All-Star race featured a battle between Strickler and Ruter throughout much of the first half of the feature. Following a number of cautions, Ruter was the leader at the halfway mark before Strickler got around him on the restart after the mandatory break. Strickler never wavered from there.

Ruter wound up second in the 31-car field and Mike Mashl was third.
