ALGONA | Grace McGuire scored 8 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for the Golden Bears on Tuesday night. Jenna Boelter led all scorers with 15 points.

Jayden Frank led GHV with 11 points.

The Golden Bears (No. 12, Class 1A) move to 7-0.

Clear Lake 59, Clarion-Goldfield-Dows 21

CLARION | The Lions (No. 3, 3A) improved to 6-0 with Tuesday's victory. 

Three Lions scored in double figures. Zoe Fasbender led the team with 12 points, all from behind the 3-point line. Julia Merfeld scored 11 points and Lexi Fasbender finished with 10 points. 

Leading 18-5 at the end of the first quarter, Clear Lake blew the game open with a 17-1 run through the second to go into halftime up 35-6.

The Lions buried 12 3-pointers as a team.

West Hancock 88, North Iowa 10

BRITT | The Eagles (No. 5, 1A) rebounded from its first loss on the season on Friday with a win over its Top Of Iowa West rival on Tuesday.

Rachel Leerar led the Eagles (5-1) with 26 points and 5 steals. Amanda Chizek finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Madison Eisenman scored 17 points.  

Lake Mills 76, Eagle Grove 44

LAKE MILLS | The Bulldogs drained ten 3-pointers, including six from Jade Gasteiger, en route to Tuesday's homecourt victory.

Gasteiger finished the night with 25 points, 4 assists, and 5 steals. Jessa Gasteiger scored 15 points and Laura Knudtson had an 8-point, 7-assist effort.

Natalie Vrba led Eagles Grove with 22 points.

Osage 61, North Butler 25

GREENE | A balanced scoring effort helped guide the Green Devils to a win over the Bearcats Tuesday night.

Three players (Mia Knudsen, Rylie Olsen and Sydney Midlang) finished the night with 9 points each. Two others (Madi Johnson and Dani Johnson) each scored 7 points.

Madi Pleas led North Butler with 6 points.

Central Springs 41, West Fork 30

MANLY | Kaylee Parks led the Panthers on Tuesday with 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals. Jadyn Shonka finihsed with 7 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals.

Lexi Jones scored 9 points for West Fork. McKenna Weaver had a 7-point night.

Hampton-Dumont 52, Iowa Falls-Alden 51

IOWA FALLS | The Bulldogs won Tuesday's game at the free-throw line late in the fourth quarter.

Hampton-Dumont's Makayla Severs finished with 16 points. Courtney Miller followed with an 11-point night.

Katie Meyer led Iowa Falls with 12 points.

Newman 71, Rockford 46

MASON CITY | Peyton Olson scored 25 points to lead the Knights, including three 3-pointers.

Morgan Thieman scored 25 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to pace the lady Warriors. Jame Schuster finished with a 14-point, 10-rebound effort.

BOYS BASKETBALL

North Union 64, Belmond-Klemme 51

BELMOND | Riley Bauer led the field with 30 points in Tuesday's win over the Broncos.

Easton Barrus led B-K with 20 points, 13 rebounds and 4 steals. Koty Kuhlers scored 11 points and Dylan Anderson finished with 8 points and 12 rebounds.

Noah Morphew scored 15 points for North Union.

Clear Lake 81, Clarion-Goldfield-Dows 57

CLARION | Zach Lester led the Lions with 28 points. Clear Lake got 18 points from Drew Enke and 11 points from Sam Pedelty.

West Hancock 57, North Iowa 55

BRITT | Gavin Becker's 22-point, 10-rebound, 4-assist performance set the pace for the Eagles on Tuesday.

West Hancock's MaCoy Yeakel finished with 15 points and 5 steals.

Isaiah Walk's 12 points and 8 rebounds led North Iowa. Jordan Boekelman and Nate Beenken scored 10 points each for the Bison.

Osage 66, North Butler 40

GREENE | Nathan Bushbaun scored 23 points, including 7 3-pointers, as the Green Devils beat the Bearcats Tuesday night. 

Lucas Schwamman followed with an 18-point effort. Dylan Clipperton led North Butler with 14 points. 

Eagle Grove 67, Lake Mills 66

LAKE MILLS | Eagle Grove went on a 24-21 tear through the fourth quarter to beat the Bulldogs. 

Grant Fjelstad led Lake Mills with 20 points. Trevor Hanna had 16 points and 7 assists. DaShawn Linnen had 13 points and 6 rebounds. 

Spencer Espejo led Eagle Grove with 26 points. Ryan Smith finished with 21 points. 

Scores: Janesville 68, Riceville 42; West Fork 63, Central Springs 24.
