OSAGE — Osage senior Drew Olson hit the 1,000-point mark for his career Friday night as his 17 points helped the Green Devils to an easy win over Northwood-Kensett, 66-8.
Olson is the fifth player in school history to reach the mark.
Jonah Bluhm added 10 points for the Green Devils, Brett Bobinet scored nine and Elijah Bluhm had eight. 10 different players scored on the night for Osage.
Trey Waldermar had four points for the Vikings.
Clear Lake 55, Webster City 39
WEBSTER CITY — Clear Lake used a big first half offensively and defensively to work its way to a 55-39 win over Webster City on Friday. The Lions outscored the Lynx 36-18 in the opening 16 minutes.
“We shot it pretty well,” Clear Lake coach Jeremey Ainley said. “We came out, made some easy buckets, and defensively, played really well in that first half.”
Zach Lester led the way with a game-high 25 points and Jared Penning tossed in 12 points, including 10 in the first half.
“It was good to see him come out and score,” Ainley said of Penning. “We’re back to full strength so it’s just a matter of finding the right spots now.”
Drew Enke added seven points for the Lions (6-3, 5-1), who play at Forest City today.
Jordan Tanner led the Lynx with 20 points.
GHV 73, North Union 26
GARNER — Garner-Hayfield-Ventura used a balanced offense to help it get past North Union Friday night, 73-26.
Ryan Meyers led the Cardinals with 17 points, Ray Cataldo had 14, James Betz scored 10 and Jonah Albertson chipped in eight.
Riley Bauer had nine points to guide the Warriors.
GHV (8-3, 6-2) is at Algona today.
Newman 74, St. Ansgar 39
ST. ANSGAR — Newman placed three players in double figures Friday night in a 74-39 victory at St. Ansgar.
Joe Scholl led the way with 16 points, Brady Gatton scored 14 and Josh Fitzgerald finished with 10. Additionally, Merritt McCardle and Jared Bock score eight each.
Ethan Kirchgatter scored 14 for the Saints and Collin Kramer added 11.
St. Edmond 65, Algona 50
ALGONA — Algona let one slip away late vs. St. Edmond Friday as the Gaels topped the Bulldogs 65-50.
Trevor Bormann paced the Bulldogs with 15 points.
Andrew Gibb had 21 points for the Gaels.
Rockford 64, North Butler 50
GREENE — With three players in double figures, Rockford picked up another important TIC East win Friday night, 64-50 over North Butler.
Jake Staudt led the way with a game-high 18 points, Max Rooney scored 14 and Andrew Longcor had 12. Additionally, Matt Schubert tossed in nine.
Sam Dolan led the Bearcats with 16 and Dylan Clipperton scored 12.
Forest City 53, Lake Mills 36
LAKE MILLS — After being handed its first loss of the season Tuesday vs. Garrigan, Forest City bounced back Friday with a 53-36 win over Lake Mills.
Sam Snyder led three in double figures with 13, Ryan Theel scored 12 and Micah Lambert had 10.
Chett Helming led the Bulldogs with 10.
Charles City 77, Waukon 72
CHARLES CITY — Charles City saw five players score in double figures as it held on for a 77-72 win over Waukon.
Cade Hemesath poured in a team-high 26 points to lead the Comets, Noah Schlader had 15, Bradley Andrews had 12, and Jack Molstead and Mike Crashaw added 11 apiece.
West Fork 75, N-P 63
NASHUA — Four players scored in double figures Friday night to help lead West Fork to a 75-63 win over Nashua-Plainfield.
All-state guard Zach Martinek led the way with 18, Ian Latham and Mitchell Halloran scored 17 apiece, and Nathan Meinders tossed in 14.
