MASON CITY | There's no holiday hangover for the Bulls.

Back from a 10-day winter break, and playing on home ice for the first time since Dec. 8, North Iowa picked up where it left off in a 16-0 pounding of Rochester Saturday at the Events Center.

Jarod Blackowiak (3 points) and Shane Bernhardson (5 points) both finished with hat tricks. Cameron Fagerlee finished with a goal and three assists. Connor Clemons has 2 goals and 3 assists. Goalie Colin Cane stopped 30 shots.

Blackowiak broke the game open on an assist from Dan Sandvig 3:07 into the first period. The Bulls scored 5 goals in the first, 7 in the second, and closed the game with a 4-goal third period.

North Iowa (25-0-2-1) travels to Rochester today for a 7:05 p.m. game with the Ice Hawks.
