Why has one of your finest columnists been absent from recent issues of the Globe (Sunday)? Alan Guebert is an informed, moderate, God-fearing, clear-eyed pragmatist. He is non-ideological and employs concise prose.
We know you are new to the Globe, and would advise review of Alan's articles of the past 10 years. He is polite and fair as he identifies weakness of liberals and conservatives. Lately Trump's team has been called out by Guebert, but then fact-checkers have supported his assessments.

While teaching, I subscribed to the Globe, Courier and Register. I valued the research of print media, compared to the superficial glitz of Internet coverage. Guebert is in the tradition of the Muckrakers. You should support journalism of substance.
