Skipper: Looking for what's 'common'

I grew up in Mason City and ended up in the Washington DC suburbs. I read the Globe every day. I wish you could have the editorial about finding common ground printed in the Washington Post. Things out here are so nasty, doesn't seem to matter where you stand on things. There isn't a right side or wrong side, both are lacking in respect and humanity. There are exceptions, but the angry and hateful ones seem to be ahead. Is there a way I can send this to the Post, just in case someone there has their light bulb lit?

I knew bobby as he was called back in the day---as his parents were close friends of my parents! He was a great guy and so were his brothers!!
