CEDAR RAPIDS - A free dental clinic to provide oral health services to Iowans who do not see a dentist regularly will be Friday and Saturday, Nov. 5 and 6, in Cedar Rapids.
Iowa Mission of Mercy, a free two-day dental clinic, is available from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. It is at the U.S. Cellular Center, 370 First Ave., in Cedar Rapids.
Patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no pre-registration.
Services include cleanings, fillings and extractions. They are provided by dentists and other dental professionals who donate their services.
Mission of Mercy was established in Iowa two years ago to provide needed services to people who cannot afford dental services. The clinics are in a different area of the state each year to make the clinic accessible to more Iowans.
The Iowa Dental Association leads the organizational effort for Iowa Mission of Mercy, in cooperation with many sponsors and volunteers.
