The high Wednesday in Mason City was 41 degrees, with a low of 37. Although the snow melted on contact with the ground in Mason City, some counties reported snow accumulations of an inch or more.
The weather forecast for May Day calls for more showers than May flowers and more cool temperatures, too. Highs today were forecast at 49 degrees, with a few showers during the day.
