CORRECTION: The time of the accident has been changed to correct a discrepancy between the state patrol report and the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff's report.

A 26-year-old Mason City man died on Sunday in a three-car collision just outside of the city.

Martin Ross, 26, was driving north on Mallard Avenue near 240th Street around 2 p.m. when his Ford Fusion crossed the center line and struck a Ram van driven south by 60-year-old Jeffrey Robak, of Plymouth, according to a press release issued by the Iowa State Patrol.

Ross was declared dead at the scene; Robak and Badker were each transported to Mercy One where they were treated with unknown injuries.

The collision remains under investigation.
