Woden man's Clear Lake traffic stop yields drugs, pipe, police say

CLEAR LAKE | A Woden man faces drug charges after police say a traffic stop yielded marijuana last week in Clear Lake.

Robin Charles Palmer, 31, is charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana -- first offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A Cerro Gordo County deputy stopped Palmer, who was driving a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica, at Balsam Avenue and 310th Street north of Clear Lake for a traffic violation about 8:10 p.m. Jan. 9, court documents say.

During a probable cause search, Palmer was allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana and a marijuana pipe, according to court documents.

Palmer was released from custody on his own recognizance.

He is set to appear in Cerro Gordo County District Court Jan. 26 on the possession of marijuana charge. A non-jury trial for the possession of drug paraphernalia charge is July 10.
