MARBLE ROCK | Two Nora Springs men were injured in a crash involving a pick-up truck and a semi Friday near Marble Rock.

Floyd County Sheriff’s Office responded to a collision at about 9:15 a.m. near the intersection of B-60 and T-18 west of Marble Rock, also known as 270th Street and Dancer Avenue.

Tony Keeling, 41, was travelling south on Dancer Avenue in a 2006 GMC Sierra and failed to stop at a stop sign, according to an Iowa State Patrol crash report.  

David Noss, 38, of Rockwell was driving westbound in a 2006 Peterbilt Semi, an empty grain trailer.

Keeling struck the semi, splitting the grain trailer in half.

Keeling was injured and transported by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center - North Iowa. the crash report indicated that his life was saved by a seatbelt.

Aaron Olson, 25, a passenger, was injured and transported as well.  

Noss was uninjured.

No other information was released.

Iowa State Patrol, Iowa DOT Motor Vehicle Enforcement, Marble Rock Fire & First Responders, Rockford Fire, Greene Fire, AMR Ambulance, Nora Springs Ambulance, Greene Ambulance, Mason City Ambulance and Scott's Wrecker assisted at the scene.
