MASON CITY | Two men were arrested Monday morning for stealing a lawn mower from Fleet Farm, according to police.
At about 4:20 a.m. Monday morning, Mason City police were called for a theft in progress to Mills Fleet Farm, 3200 Fourth St. S.W. A lawn mower was taken from in front of the store, according to Mason City Police Lt. Rich Jensen.
The suspects left the scene in a large moving van but were stopped by a Clear Lake police officer on Interstate 35, Jensen said in a statement.
Two men were detained and two lawn mowers were located in the truck, according to police. One of the mowers had been stolen from Mills Fleet Farm and was valued at $1,700.
Police also said they found a bolt cutter and meth in the vehicle.

Calvin Jerome Lacey, 44, of Chicago, Illinois, and Charles Edward Ross, 54, of Des Moines, were arrested and charged with felony second-degree theft and misdemeanor possession of a theft detection removal device. Ross was also charged with misdemeanor possession of methamphetamine.
Jensen said more charges are likely as investigation into the case is ongoing.
Both are being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail on bond -- $6,000 for Lacey and $7,000 for Ross.
No court date has been set for either man.
