THOMPSON | A Thompson woman accused of hitting her teenage daughter has been charged with felony child endangerment.

Christine Marie Kleveland, 40, was arrested by the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office on June 30.

Kleveland's daughter had video evidence of her mother "calling her insulting names and physically attacking her several times by hitting her and smacking her across the face," according to the criminal complaint. The altercation took place on June 29.

The daughter also told authorities her mother has been abusing her regularly for years, court documents said.

Kleveland has posted $1,000 bond and been released from the Winnebago County Jail pending a July 9 court appearance.
