MASON CITY | A Rudd man has been arrested for allegedly breaking into a trailer and stealing two snowmobiles with accomplices, according to court documents
Levi Robert Shackleton, 26, is charged with two counts of felony first-degree theft, felony conspiracy and felony third-degree burglary.
About 4:34 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Seventh Street Southeast in Mason City, Shackleton, along with two other unknown subjects, cut the lock off a trailer and took a 2017 Polaris Switchback Pro-S Snowmobile worth $10,200.
A 2017 Polaris 800 Pro-S Snowmobile valued at $10,700 was also stolen.

“The two other subjects are unknown at this time but were observed by law enforcement fleeing the scene on the stolen snowmobiles,” police wrote in charging documents. “Shackleton drove the vehicle to the scene and away from it, which contained a cut padlock.”
Shackleton was arrested and booked into the Cerro Gordo County Jail about 6 a.m. Saturday.
Shackleton is being held on a $10,000 cash bond for the Cerro Gordo charges and a $1,000 bond for contempt of court--failure to pay child support in Floyd County.
He is scheduled to appear in Cerro Gordo County District Court Friday.
