OSAGE | An Osage man faces felony charges after police say he assaulted at least two people and threatened them with a kitchen knife at his house.

Police say Daniel Robert Warner, 29, fractured a man’s jaw Oct. 13 after he knocked him down, pinned him to the floor and struck his head and face, according to an Osage Police Department criminal complaint. The man also sustained cuts, swelling and bruising.

During the alleged assault, court documents say Warner held a kitchen knife to the man’s throat. The man, who sustained cuts to his neck, told police he thought he was going to be stabbed.

The complaint says witnesses tried to pull Warner off the man to stop him from harming the man further.

Warner is also accused of assaulting other individuals – including a 14-year-old girl – and telling them he would kill them with the knife if they called police, according to the complaint.

The girl was trying to stop Warner from assaulting a family member, court documents say, and sustained bruising and broken blood vessels in her eye after Warner struck her.

Warner has been charged with felony assault causing serious injury, felony assault with a dangerous weapon, misdemeanor assault with a dangerous weapon and assaulting a juvenile.

He is being held in the Mitchell County Jail. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Oct. 27 in Mitchell County District Court.
