CLEAR LAKE - A Thornton woman was arrested for fighting, assaulting a man and pulling off a windshield wiper while intoxicated in Clear Lake.

Cortnay Marie Jacobson, 35, was charged with misdemeanor fourth degree criminal mischief, public intoxication, assault and disorderly conduct - fighting or violent behavior following an incident on the 200 block of South 4th Street in Clear Lake.

At about 12:26 a.m. Friday, Jacobson was involved in a physical altercation on the sidewalk in front of a residence, allegedly causing causing property damage while intoxicated.

Court documents said Jacobson admitted to drinking three vodka/red bulls at the VFW just 20 minutes prior to the altercation.

“I could smell alcohol on Jacobson's breath while I was speaking to her,” a Clear Lake police officer said in the criminal complaint.

Court documents said she consented to a preliminary breath test and registered a .11.

“Jacobson was witnessed by myself engaging in the physical altercation,” a police officer said in the criminal complaint.
