RAKE | A Buffalo Center man is facing felony charges after allegedly breaking into a Rake woman's home and strangling her.

Dustin James Olson, 36, is charged with first-degree burglary and domestic abuse assault by strangulation in connection with an incident on July 12.

Olson tried to break down the door of the woman's house and then was able to enter the residence by getting the garage door open, according to the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities say he strangled the woman, threw her on the couch and pulled out her hair.

Olson, who was arrested on a warrant July 16, is being held in the Winnebago County Jail on $25,000 cash or surety bond.

He is scheduled to appear in Winnebago County District Court Aug. 14.
