CLEAR LAKE | A St. Paul man has been jailed after violating terms of his release after pleading guilty to damaging a vehicle in Clear Lake in September.
According to court documents, Ulysses Simpson Dunn, 33, picked up "dirt" and threw it at a vehicle in the 9000 block of Highway 122 Sept. 24. Police say he was trying to stop traffic.
Court documents say that the "dirt" was actually gravel, which chipped paint on a 2007 GMC Sierra’s hood and bumper. The damage was estimated to be between $500 and $1,000.
Dunn, who pleaded guilty to misdemeanor third-degree criminal mischief, was released on pre-trial release before sentencing.
Dunn violated the terms of his release, court document said. He is being held on a $2,000 bond in the Cerro Gordo County Jail until sentencing, which is scheduled for Monday in Cerro Gordo County District Court.
