RAKE -- A man who police say broke down the door of a Rake residence and assaulted another man inside faces felony charges.
Nathan Mark Hatfield, 42, of Fairmont, Minnesota, made his initial appearance on charges of second-degree burglary and assault while participating in a felony on April 29 in Winnebago County District Court.
Hatfield went to a woman's apartment in the 200 block of Third Street Southwest at 6 a.m. on April 12 and broke down the locked door, according to charging documents from the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office.

Officials say Hatfield called the male inside the residence racial names while assaulting him.
Hatfield has waived his preliminary hearing.
