CERRO GORDO COUNTY | A Minnesota man was arrested following a traffic stop for stealing a vehicle in Missouri and driving 96 mph on Interstate 35 in Cerro Gordo County.

Andrew Cinque Jackson, 36, of Minneapolis, was charged with felony second-degree theft after a traffic stop at mile marker 181 northbound on I-35.

At about 6:30 a.m. June 23, an Iowa State trooper clocked a silver Tahoe going 96 mph in a 70 mph zone on the interstate.

Jackson identified himself but couldn't produce an ID or insurance, the trooper wrote in charging documents.

Police determined Missouri had revoked his driver's license and that the Tahoe he was driving was reported stolen from Lee's Summit, Missouri.

He was cited for driving without insurance or a driver's license and speeding.

Jackson was arrested and booked into the Cerro Gordo County Jail, where he is being held on $5,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Cerro Gordo County District Court July 3.
