MASON CITY | A Minnesota man was arrested for ongoing criminal conduct, forgery and drugs after he used a fraudulent check at Shopko Tuesday.

Taylor Gordon Maricle, 23, of Austin, Minnesota, was charged with felony ongoing criminal conduct - unlawful activity, forgery, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a prescription drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

At about 3:49 p.m. Tuesday, Maricle allegedly used another person's check to purchase items at Shopko. 

Police said in court documents the account holder didn't give him permission to use the checks.

Officers, who were dispatched to Shopko for a shoplifting report, searched Maricle for stolen property and found a small bag of methamphetamine in his wallet, one loose Viagra pill he didn't have a prescription for and a glass meth pipe in his waistband, court documents said.

Maricle was arrested and booked into the to Cerro Gordo County Jail, where he is being held on a $32,300 bond. 

No court date has been set.
