MASON CITY | A Mason City man will head to trial after law enforcement officials said they found him with more than five grams of methamphetamine during a traffic stop Oct. 19.
Eric Thomas Hart, 28, was charged with possession with intent to deliver meth over five grams, failure to affix a drug stamp, failure to have a valid driver’s license and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to court documents, law enforcement found two bags of meth on Hart, estimated at two ounces. They also found more meth after searching his car, a hypodermic needle and a scale, according to court documents.
Hart pleaded not guilty on Nov. 27 to the above charges and waived his right to a speedy trial. His trial is scheduled for Feb. 13, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. in the Cerro Gordo County Courthouse.
