Ely D. Sullivan, 32, was charged with misdemeanor first-degree harassment after he allegedly sent multiple electronic messages to a man.

At about 1:07 p.m. on Oct. 2, a person contacted the Britt Police Department about threats Sullivan made against their family, providing screen shots of messages stating “I’m still gonna kill you I know where you live now,” and “Ur hole family is going to suffer. Definitely your sister.”

When the man asked Sullivan to leave him alone, he responded with, “Never ill never leave you alone til ur familys dead,” “ur gonna suffer so bad,” and “I have dreams of killing u.”

Sullivan was arrested on a warrant Oct. 17, booked into the Winnebago County Jail and released after posting a $2,000 cash bond.

A court date hasn't been set.
