MASON CITY - A Mason City man arrested for assault and drugs was arrested four days later for violating a no-contact order.
Christian Peter Jensen, 30, was charged with felony domestic abuse assault impeding air/blood flow, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, marijuana - first degree and possession of drug paraphernalia.
At about 6 p.m. Monday, Jensen got into an argument with a woman he knew around the 600 block of 15th Street Northeast.
According to court documents, Jensen placed his hands around the woman’s neck, leaving red marks on her neck.
Mason City police noted in the criminal complaint that Jensen “had the intent to impede the normal breathing or circulation of blood” while placing his hands around the woman’s neck.
The woman had scratches on the top of her forehead and red marks on both of her temples, court documents said.
When he was arrested that evening, police found a clear plastic baggie inside of a red Pall Mall cigarette pack containing marijuana in the left pocket of his tan shorts. A purple pipe was also found inside the cigarette pack.
