Mason City man arrested for selling meth to informant


MASON CITY - A Mason City man is accused of dealing methamphetamine to an informant on two occasions in January.

Alex Gregory Welch, 26, of Mason City, was charged with two counts of felony delivery of meth for incidents occurring Jan. 11 and 12.

According to court documents, Welch delivered meth to a person working under the control of a deputy on both days in the 400 block of East State Street.

A nationwide warrant for his arrest was issued May 21. 

Welch was arrested by Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department May 31 and is being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail on a $20,000 bond.

He is scheduled to appear in Cerro Gordo County District Court June 26.
