At about 12:48 p.m. June 28, Jones allegedly entered a woman’s home on the 800 block of 15th Street Southeast in Mason City by forcing open the door.

The woman arrived home to Jones carrying her property through the front door, court documents said.

Mason City police requested a warrant as Jones does not have a permanent address.

He was arrested Sunday at Dollar General, 305 N. Federal Ave.

At about 3:55 p.m. Sunday, Jones allegedly hid items in his coat and walked out of the store without paying for the items, which totaled $69.75.

The charge was enhanced to third-degree theft due to Jones’ previous theft convictions.

Jones is being held in Cerro Gordo County Jail on a $7,000 bond, or 10 percent cash.

He is scheduled to appear in Cerro Gordo County District Court Oct. 18.
