MASON CITY | A Mason City man is accused of stealing money out of a coworker’s purse.

Jesse Theodore Little, 38, was charged with misdemeanor third-degree theft after an incident Jan. 5 at Culvers, 551 S. Monroe Ave., Mason City.

According to court documents, Little allegedly took another employee’s purse and then took money out of the purse before placing the purse back in its original place.

The total amount of money taken from the purse was under $200, court documents say. 

Little has been convicted of theft on two other occasions, according to court records. 

He was transferred from the Cerro Gordo County Jail to Marshall County Jail, where he is being held for a probation violation.

Little is scheduled to appear in Cerro Gordo County District Court Jan. 26.
