MASON CITY | A Mason City man has been charged with several felony thefts after committing a three-day crime spree, police say.
James Grant Dulude, 30, was charged with felony first-degree theft and two counts of misdemeanor third-degree theft.
He is accused of stealing $20 in gas from Caseys, 1607 S. Federal Ave. on Nov. 23.
Court documents say an officer stopped the silver Chevy a short distance from the store, and Dulude admitted he didn't pay for the gas.
On Nov. 24, Dulude allegedly stole about $18 worth of products from Walmart, 4151 Fourth St. S.W.
That charge was enhanced to third-degree theft due to four prior theft convictions, court documents said.

Dulude was driving a River City Fence Co. 2015 Maroon Ford F-350, which police said had been reported stolen earlier in the day.
Police arrested him "a short distance away" after he fled from the vehicle, court documents said.
Dulude was booked into the Cerro Gordo County Jail, where he is being held on a $10,000 bond. No court date has been set.
