MASON CITY | Mason City couple has been arrested for possession of drugs after law enforcement searched their home on a warrant.

Maggie Jean Abben, 29, and Travis Edward Abben, 29, were arrested after a law enforcement search of their residence at 6:44 a.m. Jan. 10 on the 16000 block of 245th Street.

During the search, law enforcement found an unlabeled prescription bottle containing 10 orange pills with the imprint "E 404" identified as amphetamine and dextroamphetamine along with approximately 147 grams of marijuana, court documents said.

Maggie Abben and Travis Abben were each charged with:

• Two counts of controlled substance violations - unlawfully manufacture, deliver or possess with intent to manufacture or deliver.

• Two counts of failure to affix drug stamp.

• Possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Abbens were arrested and booked into Cerro Gordo County Jail Tuesday. They were later released on their own recognizance after initial court appearances and are scheduled to appear in Cerro Gordo County District Court March 2.

A non-jury trial for the drug paraphernalia charges for the couple is scheduled for Aug. 13.
