BANCROFT | A northern Iowa man who head-butted a Kossuth County sheriff's deputy twice has been arrested, officials say.
James Wilson, Jr., 32, of West Bend, was arrested late Monday for two counts of assault of a peace officer, one count of interference with official acts and one count of disorderly conduct.
All are misdemeanors.
The incident happened after a woman called an ambulance crew for the man at 9:55 p.m. on Ramsey Street in Bancroft.
A Kossuth County sheriff's deputy responded to the city to assist Bancroft police.

The deputy was headbutted the first time while trying to put Wilson in a patrol vehicle, said Kossuth County Sheriff Steve Kollasch.
He said it happened again when the deputy got Wilson to the Kossuth County Jail in Algona.
A Kossuth County Jail staff member contacted Tuesday night would not say if Wilson was still incarcerated at the facility or if he had been released.
