FOREST CITY | A Forest City man with a history of narcotics convictions has been sent to prison.

Andrew J. Frazee, 25, was sentenced to up to five years in prison on Dec. 14 in Winnebago County District Court after pleading guilty to felony possession of a controlled substance, third or subsequent offense.

He also had his probation revoked on a September 2017 conviction on a separate charge of possession of a controlled substance, third offense.

The five-year sentence imposed in that case will be served concurrently with the one from his more recent case.

A plastic bag with methamphetamine inside was found on the floor of Frazee's vehicle when it was stopped on April 20 in the 100 block of North West Street, according to a Forest City Police Department criminal complaint.

The court suspended Frazee's two $750 fines, but he was ordered to pay $250 in surcharges in addition to other costs.
