VENTURA | A Waterloo man was arrested after a string of about 20 burglaries in North Iowa and possibly one in Ventura, police said.

Jonathan Henry Martin, 35, was charged with felony third-degree burglary and four counts of felony Iowa Lottery ticket theft from an incident at the Ventura Mart.

He was also charged with felony third-degree burglary and three counts of misdemeanor attempted burglary in Butler County. Martin also has pending charges in Floyd County.

Martin was arrested Saturday in Butler County as a result of an ongoing multi‐jurisdictional investigation, involving several law enforcement agencies including the Clear Lake Police Department.

Clear Lake investigators believe Martin was involved in in the break‐in at Ventura Mart on Nov. 23, Clear Lake Police said in a press release.

The investigation continues and additional charges are pending, police said.

Martin is held in the Floyd County Jail.
