Clear Lake man arrested for pulling knife during argument


CLEAR LAKE - A Clear Lake man is accused of pulling a knife on a person during an argument.

Brian Douglas Eppens, 42, was charged with misdemeanor assault while displaying a dangerous weapon after an incident on the 1300 block of First Avenue South in Clear Lake.

At about 1:12 p.m. Sept. 28, Eppens is accused of displaying a utility knife "in a threatening manner" during a disagreement with another person, court documents said.

Eppens was arrested, booked into the Cerro Gordo County Jail and released under the supervision of the Department of Correctional Services following his initial court appearance Monday.

He is scheduled to appear in Cerro Gordo County District Court Oct. 19.
