CLEAR LAKE | Clear Lake High School has announced its 2018 homecoming court. 

Candidates for queen are Erin Carew, Macy Mixdorf, Mallory Leisure, Kara Reineke and Mattie Krause.

Candidates for king are Will Finn, Drew Enke, Lewis Callaway, Ben Stroup and Mac Adams.

Clear Lake High School will be celebrating homecoming this week with a variety of activities.

The festivities kicked off on Sunday when students painted the windows of different downtown businesses.

Monday, students had a “Meme” dress up day and a game of powderpuff football was played.

On Tuesday, it will be a “Tourist” dress up day and there will be a home volleyball game at 6:00 p.m. During the volleyball game, cheerleaders will be painting car windows.

Wednesday the dress up day will be “Extreme Weather Day” and at 6 p.m. there will be a beach night at city beach.

Thursday the dress up day will be “Thrift Shop Day.”

Friday will be “Spirit Day”. Coronation will be at 2:30 p.m. at the E.B. Stillman Auditorium. At 3:30 p.m. there will be a parade from the school to a downtown assembly at the band shell downtown.  At 4:45 p.m. the 9/10th grade football game will begin at Lions field and at 7:30 p.m. the varsity football game vs Hampton-Dumont-CAL will kick off.

After the game, there will be a dance that will go until midnight. The dance is a casual attire dance.

Community members are encouraged to come to the volleyball game, coronation, parade, pep rally, and football game!
