Mason City officials are still deciding when large item pick-up dates will be, following this past weekend's flooding, according to a news release.

Steve O'Neil, Cerro Gordo County's Emergency Management Coordinator, urged Mason Cityans to separate their items on their curbs into three categories: appliances (water heaters, refrigerators, washers and dryers), electronics (TVs, computers and stereos) and furniture and carpets.

O'Neil added that before you relight pilots for furnaces and water heaters, they should be inspected by an appliance repair person.
