LATIMER | A small North Iowa school district plans to begin whole-grade sharing in two years.
The CAL School Board Jan. 9 will inform the community of its intention to whole-grade share with Hampton-Dumont Schools in 2018-19, Todd Lettow, shared superintendent for CAL and Hampton-Dumont, said via email.
Lettow said the announcement will allow the districts and its families time to plan for transition.
"Not all the logistics have been worked out but will be over the next 18 months," Lettow said.
CAL had an enrollment of 261 in 2016-17.
