Lancaster County Sheriff's deputies arrested an Iowa man Friday after finding 114 pounds of marijuana in his car during a traffic stop near Lincoln.
A deputy saw the 2014 Chevy Impala Joseph Sierra-Quezada was driving east fail to signal a lane change near the U.S. 77 exit just before 11 a.m., Capt. Ben Houchin said.
The deputy spoke to Sierra-Quezada and smelled marijuana in the car and saw marijuana edibles, Houchin said.
During a search of the car, the deputy found several large duffel bags containing the raw marijuana in heat-sealed packages, he said.
The deputy also seized THC vaporizer and cartridges.
Investigators believe he was planning to bring the marijuana back to Iowa, Houchin said.
Sierra-Quezada, 23, of Sioux City, was taken to jail on suspicion of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, no drug tax stamp and possession of suspected drug money among other offenses.
