Osage defeated St. Ansgar 61-53 on Tuesday, Jan. 16, and lost to Western Dubuque 64-41 on Saturday, Jan. 20.

The Green Devils were tied with the Saints at half 18-18, then St. Ansgar would take the lead in the third 35-25. Osage would put forth a 22-12 effort to tie the game 47-47 and ultimately come out victorious outscoring the Saints 14-7 in overtime.

The victory was led by a 24-point effort by senior Drew Olson. Olson went 5-for-10 from the field, including one 3-pointer, but added a 13-for-15 effort from the line for his final tally. Junior Brett Bobinet made three 3-pointers to tally 12 points on the night.

Olson poured it on once again on Saturday with an 18-point effort, going 7-for-16 from the field including one 3-pointer and making all three of his free-throw attempts, but he would be the only Green Devil in double-digits, also adding a total of six rebounds.

Osage was back in action on Tuesday, Jan. 23, against North Butler, but scores weren’t available at press time.
