Award winners were named in the 39th Annual Cerro Gordo Photo Show at the Charles H. MacNider Art Museum on recently. Forty-six entries by 28 artists were chosen for the exhibition by a panel of three judges.
Judges for this year’s competition were Jeana Petree, of Mason City, 38th Annual Cerro Gordo Photo Show Best in Show award winner; and Audrey Sparks, local photographer from Mason City.

The Best in Show award of $150 was presented to Jim Reynolds, of Clear Lake, for his metal print entitled "Aerial Ballet." Melissa Summerfield, of Mason City, received the second award of $100 for her photograph, "Branching Out." The third place award of $50 went to Joshua Brueggeman, of Mason City, for his photograph, "Intense Dirt."
Honorable Mentions were awarded to Robert Follmuth, of Mason City, for the digital image, "Light Spirograph;" Amber Olsen, of Mason City, for the digital photograph, "Water Echo," and Lisa Grouette, of Mason City, for her black and white digital photograph, "Flowers My Mother Gave Me."
The exhibit is on display through June 29, and is sponsored by the Safford and Lena Lock Photo Endowment Fund. Admission to the Charles H. MacNider Art Museum is free of charge.
