CLEAR LAKE | One Vision, formerly Opportunity Village, will host its 48th annual Benefit Walk at 1 p.m. on Sept. 17, at City Park, in Clear Lake. Before the walk, One Vision’s annual Appreciation Picnic will begin at 11 a.m. in City Park and following the walk, there will be a variety of games for adults and families, as well as live music.
The event is held annually to raise funds for services provided to more than 550 individuals supported by the Clear Lake-based nonprofit organization.
This year’s event theme, CommUNITY, will celebrate the people who receive services, employees, volunteers, families, and supporters who all comprise the One Vision community.
The public is invited to help support OV by gathering a team of family, friends, or coworkers to join those supported by the organization and take a walk around their respective park. Registration will be held prior to each walk, during which attendees will enjoy music and special interactive booths and displays, where they will learn more about the services the organization provides.
Prior to the event, walkers are encouraged to set up a personal FirstGiving page at www.ovbenefitwalk.org and set a fundraising goal. Walkers are encouraged to seek sponsors before attending the Benefit Walk.
Want to seek sponsorships offline? Pick up sponsorship packets at Tried & True in Mason City (located in Willowbrook Mall), the General Stores in Clear Lake, or by contacting Pinske at 641-355-1356.
