FOREST CITY – New hours for the Forest City Farmers Market began on Aug. 24.
The market is now opening half an hour earlier and will run from 3 to 5:30 p.m. each Thursday throughout the season in downtown Forest City.
The market currently hosts nine local vendors selling a wide variety of products, including seasonal produce such as tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, kale, lettuce and fruits.
Baked goods -- including Norwegian bread – and crafts and artists wood carvings are also available for purchase.
All produce items are grown locally and non-produce items are created or made locally.
