FOREST CITY | Forest City High School received 37 Division I ratings at the District Individual Speech Contest Feb. 24 in Clear Lake.

Those who received I ratings will advance to the State Individual Speech Contest March 10 at Starmont High School. 

The following varsity students received I ratings: Alyssa Buffington, Prose; Anna Lehmann, After Dinner Speaking; Brianna Carlson, Original Oratory; Drake Bang, Radio News; Ellie Reece, Musical Theater and Poetry; Gabe Staudt, Literary Program; Isabel Buffington, Acting; Josie Edel, Public Address and Prose; Levi Wood, Improv; Madeline Sarasio Meyer, Public Address; Madison Kleveland, Prose and Storytelling; Matt Rossmiller, Poetry and Expository Address; Meggie Kleveland, Public Address; Micaiah Krutsinger, Improv; Natalie Jefson, Poetry and Original Oratory; Olivia Sarasio Meyer, Review and Storytelling; Sarah Hovinga, Musical Theater; Shaden Tweeten, Radio News and After Dinner Speaking; and Skylar Hall, Improv.

The following junior varsity students received I ratings: Alexandria Brahm, After Dinner Speaking and Prose; Brice Golwitzer, Improv; Christana Archer, Prose; Heather Kite, Poetry; Michael Olson, Poetry; Olivia Gayther, After Dinner Speaking and Musical Theater; and Rachel Vogt, Prose and Storytelling.

The following varsity students received Division II ratings: Elsa Yeager, Review; Gabe Staudt, Spontaneous Speaking; Kyra Boeckholt, Acting; Lyndee Jones, Literary Program; Makayla Vogt, Review and Literary Program; Meggie Kleveland, Musical Theater; Riley Helgeson, Radio News; Sophia Kudej, Storytelling; and Trey Blaser, Spontaneous Speaking.

The following junior varsity students received II ratings: Christana Archer, Musical Theater; and Kaitlyn Chen, Review and Acting.
