The Saint Ansgar baseball team had its six-game winning streak snapped on Saturday, June 29, as the Saints lost to Mason City by a 9-0 score. 

The Mohawks scored four runs in the first three innings, as Saint Ansgar couldn't put anything on the board. Mason City put the game out of reach with five runs in the top of the seventh.

Junior pitcher Mark Williams hurled five innings of scoreless baseball on Friday, June 28, allowing three hits during the Saints’ blowout 10-0 victory of West Hancock. 

The Saints faced a 2-0 deficit on the road heading into the seventh inning against Lake Mills, on Wednesday, June 26, but they knocked three runs across home plate to secure a come-from-behind 3-2 victory.

Collin Kramer pitched 6 2/3 innings, allowing two earned runs and striking out 11.

Kramer, Adam Williams and John May each had an RBI, as well.

Saint Ansgar claimed a run-rule 12-2 victory against Riceville on Tuesday, June 25. 

Collin Kramer and John May each went 3-for-3 in the victory. Kramer drove in three runs. Jack Sievert pitched four innings and allowed only two hits with two earned runs. May pitched a perfect fifth inning. 

Riceville got one hit from Sully Fair and Kaleb Asfahl. 

Saint Ansgar put up six runs in its first two innings and held off Rockford for a 7-5 win that kept the Saints in the mix at the top of the Top of Iowa Conference baseball standings, on Monday, July 24.

Collin Kramer went 2-for-2 and drove in a pair of runs for the Saints.

The Saints hosted New Hampton on Monday, July 1. They play at Forest City on Tuesday, July 2. The Saints will travel to Charles City on Wednesday, July 3.
