The Saint Ansgar baseball team beat Eagle Grove by eight runs on Friday, May 24, as Mark Williams pitched a complete game and allowed only one hit and one earned run, while striking out 14 batters.

Saint Ansgar improved to 2-0 on the season, with the 9-1. 

On Tuesday, May 21, Collin Kramer started his senior season with a 13-strikeout performance, helping the Saints claim a season-opening victory.

Saint Ansgar jumped out to a 3-1 lead after the third inning and tacked on four more runs in the fifth. They added four more in the top of the seventh.

St. Ansgar travels to North Butler on Tuesday, May 28, then to North Union on Wednesday, May 29 and Bishop-Garrigan on Friday, May 31. They finish the week with a tournament at Lake Mills on Saturday, June 1.
