Allie Carman had a monster game on Friday, July 5, going 3-for-4 with a pair of double and six RBIs, helping the Northwood-Kensett Vikings defeat Riceville.
Kayla Senne won in the circle, pitching all seven innings. The 7-4 loss marked the Wildcats’ 10th in a row. Kayln Jensen had two hits, as did Debra Lane.
On Wednesday, July 3, Don Bosco and Riceville were tied 2-2 after six innings, and that score remained until Don Bosco scored two runs in the top of the 11th, sending the Wildcats to their ninth consecutive loss, this time by a 4-2 score.
The Osage softball team beat Riceville by three runs on Tuesday, July 2, scoring four times in the final three innings for a 7-4 win.
Riceville managed five hits in the contest. Junior Kayln Jensen was the starting pitcher. She got the loss after surrendering 12 hits, and seven runs in seven innings of work.

Nashua-Plainfield fought from behind with two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning and scored the winning run in the bottom of the ninth in a 10-9 win over Riceville on Monday, July 1.
